Angelfood mainly serves Warren and Hunterdon counties and parts of Morris and Somerset counties in New Jersey and The Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Always open to opportunity, our staff has even traveled to areas of New York City and South Jersey for our client family!

What exactly is a Personal Chef? What does a Personal Chef do?

A personal chef is a trained professional who provides delicious meals for clients based on the clients' individual needs and preferences. Your personal chef from AngelFood creates your menu, shops for the freshest ingredients, prepares your meals and delivers them complete with finishing instructions.

Your personal chef from AngelFood provides relief from the everyday dilemma of "What's for dinner".

How does having a personal chef service work? Do you prepare food every night?

AngelFood customarily prepares 5 meals of four portions each plus some side dishes as the most economical plan choice. We can easily adapt to your needs by increasing portion sizes, or number of portions, meals and side dishes.

Where is the cooking done?

Our chef cooks out of our custom-built, fully licensed and inspected commercial kitchen. Some components of dinner parties and catered events are finished on-premise. On occasion, we do honor special requests by cooking in clients' homes.

How often is food made available to customers?

AngelFood offers weekly, bi-weekly and monthly services for people looking for long-term answers to their dinnertime dilemmas.

How long does a Personal Chef Service Engagement last?

AngelFood provides on-going service. We respectfully request a signed service agreement, which guarantees 4-weeks notice of service discontinuation, reduction or vacation.

What if someone just wants to try it out or just needs an occasional service?

Sometimes AngelFood Personal Chef Service is required less often. Occasional drop-ins are accommodated whenever possible. Clients who commit by signing a service agreement get first consideration in scheduling.

Who creates the menu?

AngelFood does all the work! When you decide to retain AngelFood, we will discuss your food preferences. You will have ample time to approve your menu before your next food delivery. Special menu requests are always welcome!

What is included in the service fee?

The service fee covers menu planning, food-packaging materials, grocery shopping and most pantry items (spices, seasonings, oils, etc.)

Are the meals fresh or frozen?

Each service is highly individualized and depending on your needs the service may consist of fresh-serve items, frozen dishes or a combination of the two. Some dishes aren't freezer friendly and we can discuss your options when scheduling your service.

Can I sample your food before I decide?

Unfortunately, our busy schedule does not usually accomodate the small cooking sessions required for tastings. We are, however, happy to provide a host of delighted clients you may contact for references.

Can you accommodate special diets?

Absolutely! AngelFood is well-versed in low-fat diets, low-calorie diets, low-carb plans and international and vegetarian cuisines. We have even accommodated households where one member is a vegetarian and others are not.


What about organic foods?

AngelFood uses the freshest, high-quality ingredients possible. Organics are available at a different pricing structure.
